IRFAN KHAN LAST LETTER
IRFAN KHAN LAST LETTER

Irfan Khan had recently written a letter on fighting cancer which was translated by Qarb Abbas: Some time ago I was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer. It was a brand new name in my vocabulary. It turned out that this disease is very rare, that is, less information and more worries are associated with it ... as if I had become part of this 'Trial and Error' game. I was moving in another direction. Riding on a high speed train ... In which I had things like dreams, expectations, plans, desires ... But suddenly TC came from behind and tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Your destination is near, get ready to land!" I was confused, I didn't understand anything; "No no ... my station hasn't arrived yet!" "No, that's the principle of this train, you have to get off at the next station!" And then the moment I suddenly realized that we were floating like a weightless cork on the undulating waves in the unknown sea, in the misconception that we have complete control over these waves. Terrified by this frustration, panic and fear, I say to my son, "I just don't want this mental state, this panic, this panic, this panic to overwhelm me. I want feet, don't let pain and suffering rule my nerves! " That was my wish, that was my intention! A few weeks later he was admitted to the hospital. There was a lot of pain in my being, I knew it, but I was just aware of its severity. Everything was useless ... No consolation ... As if the whole universe has taken the form of pain. The pain that felt even greater than God at that moment. When I arrived at the hospital in a state of exhaustion, helplessness and boredom, I found out in the same world of indifference that Lord's Stadium was right in front of my hospital. Mecca of my childhood dreams! Surrounded by the same pain, I saw that there was a smiling poster of Owen Richards, the glimpse of which could not make any sense inside me. As if that world was never mine, I am completely without it. In the grip of this pain, when I was standing on the balcony of my hospital, I realized ... Just as there is only a road distance between this game of life and death, there is a playground across the street and a hospital on this side, I am not part of anything that claims to be fixed. Neither the hospital nor the stadium ... The heart said, "Only instability has stability." That feeling prepared me for surrender and trust. Now whatever the outcome, no matter where it goes, after 8 months from today, or after 4 months from today, or 2 years ... Thoughts gradually began to disappear and then the calculation of living and dying came out of my mind. For the first time I realized the word "freedom", in the true sense! A sense of accomplishment. This reality of this universe really perfected my belief and then I felt that this belief has been filled in the fibers of my body. Only time will tell whether he stays or not! That's what I'm feeling right now. On this journey, people from all over the world are praying for my health, those I know and those I don't know, all worshiping for me from different places and time zones. I think their prayers together have turned into a great power ... Like the soul of a fast-paced life, it is bursting from my torso to my head. It begins to sprout, sometimes like a bud, sometimes like a petal, sometimes like a twig and sometimes like a branch! I look at them with a beautiful and pleasant feeling. The good wishes of the people, every twig, every leaf, every flower that blossoms with sincere words, my life is filled with surprises, joys and curiosities. Now it feels as if the cork floating on the waves doesn't even have control over them! It's like you're swinging in the arms of nature! .. .. .. .. .. ...
